Elevation from level greyed out revit
Elevation from level greyed out revit. I have an object that is face, or work plane based. I am trying to change the elevation of this component, but the "elevation form level" is grayed out. I need to be able to change this. I was excited when I first heard of it and thought it could be very useful, however as I've messed with it there seems to be a bunch or road blocks. The parameter "Elevation from Level" can be chosen in the schedule for the affected category, but it always reports a blank value. In the properties, under the constraints, there is an "elevation from level" parameter but it's greyed out and I can't change it. In the properties, under the constraints, there is an "elevation from level" parameter but I am trying to change the elevation of this component, but the "elevation form level" is grayed out. Affected category: Unaffected category: Status: This incident has been resolved in: I may be doing something wrong here, but the uses for the new "Elevation from Level" parameter that was added in 2020 seem really limited. Why would it be greyed out and how can I Issue: Certain level-based categories in Revit ignore the Default Elevation value when placed and are placed at zero elevation. In the properties, under the constraints, there is an "elevation from level" parameter but. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? I'm using Revit 2017 and I can't figure out why my "level" button is greyed out, I'm in elevation view but cannot create levels. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it? Under the properties of one of my tables that I placed the "Elevation from Level" is greyed out in the constraints, and set a few feet below the desired level in elevation.
